The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has officially released the date sheet for the Bihar Board Matric Compartment and Special Exam 2026. As per the official schedule, theory exams will be held from May 2 to 6, 2026, in two shifts daily.

BSEB Matric Compartment Exam 2026: Full Theory Timetable

The theory examinations will be conducted over five days in two shifts each day. The exam schedule is as follows:

Practical Exams: April 29 & 30, 2026

Before the theory exams begin, practical examinations for relevant subjects and vocational trades will be conducted on:

• April 29, 2026 - Day 1 of Practical Exams
• April 30, 2026 - Day 2 of Practical Exams

Students enrolled in subjects with a practical component or vocational trade courses must appear on these dates at their allotted exam centres. The practical schedule and centre details will be mentioned on the admit card.

Exam Timing: Two Shifts Every Day

The theory exams will be held in two shifts daily from May 2 to 6, 2026:

Students must report to their exam centre at least 30 minutes before the start of their shift. Entry will not be permitted after the gate-closing time.

Who Can Appear in BSEB Matric Compartment & Special Exam 2026?

• Compartmental Exam: Students who appeared in the BSEB Class 10 (Matric) Board Exam 2026 but failed in one or two subjects are eligible to appear in the compartmental examination.

• Special Exam: Students who were absent in one or more papers of the regular Bihar Board Matric Exam 2026 due to a valid reason may be permitted to sit for the special examination.

Both exams give students a chance to clear their Class 10 without losing an academic year. Students must ensure they have a valid admit card issued by BSEB to appear in the exam.

How to Download BSEB Matric Compartment Exam 2026 Admit Card?

1. Visit the official website: biharboardonline.bihar.gov.in

2. Click on the admit card link for Secondary Special / Compartmental Examination 2026

3. Enter your registration number and date of birth

4. Download and take a printout of the admit card

5. Carry the admit card along with a valid photo ID to the exam centre

Note: Admit cards are expected to be released a few days before the exam. Keep checking the official website for updates.

Important Instructions for Students

Carry your admit card and a valid photo ID (Aadhaar card, school ID) on every exam day
Reach the exam centre at least 30 minutes before the shift begins

Mobile phones, calculators, and electronic devices are strictly prohibited inside the exam hall

Students must appear at the centre allotted on their admit card - no change of centre is allowed

For practical exams on April 29 and 30, students must bring their practical record books/files as required by the subject
