One Health Joint Plan of Action (OH JPA): By the World Health Organization (WHO), Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), and World Organisation for Animal Health.

One Health Approach focuses on the interdependence of humans, domestic and wild animals, and the wider environment. It will help increase the food and water safety, nutritional security, pollution management, and combat antimicrobial resistance.

One Health Joint Plan of Action: Key Highlights

• This One Health Joint Plan of Action aims to integrate systems and boost capacity to collectively prevent, predict, detect and respond to the global health crisis.
• The heath action plan will be implemented from 2022 to 2026. This action plan is launched to address health challenges at the international, regional, and national levels.
• Its key focus areas are One Health capacity for health systems; emerging and re-emerging zoonotic epidemics; endemic zoonotic; neglected tropical and vector-borne disease; anti-microbial resistance and the environment; and food safety risks.

Sakharov Prize for Freedom of Thought

• Sakharov Prize 2022 for Freedom of Thought was conferred to the people of Ukraine, represented by their president, elected leaders, and civil society.
• The Sakharov Prize 2022 has a prize money of 50,000 euros.

The Sakharov Prize for Freedom of Thought is awarded to individuals or groups who have dedicated their life protecting human rights and freedom of thought.

Established in: 1988 by the European Parliament.
