IIT Delhi announces new MA programme; Application process and more

The Indian Institute of Technology Delhi's Department of Humanities and Social Sciences has announced the introduction of a new master's program, MA Culture, Society, Thought, commencing in July 2024.

IIT Delhi announces new MA programme

Applications for this program will be accepted from March 20 to April 4. Additionally, the department will host an open house on March 15, and interested candidates can register for it at hss.iitd.ac.in.

The MA Program in Society, Culture, and Thought at IIT Delhi is a two-year full-time program to be conducted at the IIT Delhi Campus in New Delhi. This interdisciplinary program spans four semesters, offering candidates the opportunity to explore various disciplines within the social sciences. It will be administered by the Humanities and Social Sciences (HSS) department of IIT Delhi.

Candidates applying for admission to IIT Delhi's new MA program in Society, Culture, and Thought will undergo a selection process involving either a written examination conducted by the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences or submission of GATE scores. Shortlisted candidates will then proceed to an interview stage, where their analytical abilities, basic numerical and logical reasoning skills, as well as reading and comprehension skills, will be evaluated.

Step 1: Visit the official website - ecampus.iitd.ac.in/PGADM/login
Step 2: Access the MA program registration link
Step 3: Complete the application form, providing personal and educational qualifications
Step 4: Upload the necessary documents
Step 5: Pay the application fee to finalize the registration
Step 6: Download and print the confirmation page for future reference.

The MA programs will begin in July 2024. Additionally, IIT Delhi will organize an open house on March 15, 2024, to provide insights into the program's framework, tuition, faculty, housing, financial aid, and avenues for academic and professional growth.
